US Soccer Federation partnership with the Coca-Cola Company

http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2015/04/13/mls-us-soccer-federation-announce-new-partnership-coca-cola-company

It is of great importance for big companies like Coca-Cola to involve and promote soccer within the United States. After the performance of the US men's soccer team in Brazil last year and the all time record of good performance by the women, it is quite impressive that this sporting activity be given a value of recognition. So far in the last decades, soccer has never been a US thing until recent days that it is becoming a popular game in the United States. I believe with strong supports from the Coca-Cola it will intensify the popularity of the sport in the country.

Coca-Cola has always been associated with the game of soccer at a global level. Partnership with FIFA the soccer governing body in the organization of major competitions such as the FIFA world cup for both men and women. They have been partners and cosponsors of soccer competitions since 1974. Coca-Cola working at the grassroots level within the US, sponsoring minor competitions like POWERADE Sueño Alianza talent search and Club Balón Rojo, a ball-kids program in partnership with local Boys & Girls Clubs. Now coming into partnership the federation means much progress for this game.

Meet the new host of 'The Daily Show'

 http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/30/opinions/seymour-daily-show/?iid=ob_article_organicsidebar_expansion&iref=obnetwork

"America, a land of fair play and equal opportunity for all". Meet the new host of 'The Daily Show', a top night show in the United States, announcing the new host who is an African comedian Trevor Noah to replace the current host Jon Stewart,  the most trusted anchor man for late night shows.
many media channels have raised eye browns regarding this replacement. A lot of individuals don't want to believe an African is fit enough to understand the needs of Americans to be trusted with such a job. Many others still looked at it as an opportunity to extend this TV channel to world stage, which will now attracts viewers not only within the United States but the world as a whole.
This has also raised an argument amongst viewers who thinks other American comics like Jessica Williams and Samantha Bee who have been popular in this show, were highly favorite for this job than the South African Trevor Noah who has also appeared in the show for a few times. In recent years, Trevor Noah has grown so popular in South Africa, United Kingdom, United State and other parts of the world. He is know for making jokes about his life story, racial differences and Apatite South Africa, and jokes about people and different places and cultures. I believe Noah will be capable of entertaining his viewers with thrilling comedies from a diversify scope. The rise of Trevor Noah from an African Comedian to a top  TV presenter in the United States  has thrilled a lot of people especially Africans who thought they were limited. I think it will be very important for people to be encourage by this to do what they are doing as best as they could, for it is the best that will sort you out of the crowd.

After Ebola

http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/world/2015/03/23/ebola-aftermath/

The post Ebola situation in West Africa is a sympathetic one especially when one come across stories like the one present on the link above. Josephine Dolley is a young and enthusiastic lady who had a successful life path before the outbreak of the diseases. Her story is so touching because being a survivor of the disease and she is left with almost nothing, she lost her husband and two sons and most of her family members. She no longer have her job but she was so determine to put herself back together, out of nothing she has the good heart to bring is six other orphans who survive but have no other family members. She accept them ask her new family members.  Apart from Dolley, there will be lots and lots individuals who are going through same situation. The post Ebola still requires a lot of international support as much as was needed during the time of the disease. These people needs to rebuild their lives, they need jobs, most of the people are jobless, foreign investors left the countries, closing down their companies. A lot needs to be done in order to create new jobs which is very important for these survivors to put them back on a path of gaining hopes of a better livelihood, despite the disaster.

War against ISIS

http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/23/middleeast/isis-crisis/index.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rss%2Fcnn_world+%28RSS%3A+World%29

It is a bold step taken by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, calling on the rest of the Arab nations to standup against ISIS. I think now is the time for the rest of the world to unify to fight against all sort of extremist groups, being ISIS and Al Qaeda in the Middle East and Al Shabab and Boko Haram in Africa. For several years, the United States has spearheaded the fight against terrorism both in Africa and the rest of the world and yet terrorism is becoming more stronger as new extremist groups are being established in different parts of the world. I think this is passing a message through and if action is not taken, it will go beyond control. If I can speak for the world then I'll say now is the time to act, our leaders should get up from sleep and looked into the fact that time is of essence to stop this crisis before it goes out of hand.

America  is leading coalition airstrike against ISIS in Iraq and Syria and so far 80% of the strikes are carried out by America and 20% for the rest of the coalition. I think the rest of the world needs to step up, more needs to be done. Imagine that if other countries such as France, Denmark, Australia, Belgium who have experienced acts of terrorism in recent weeks step in more strongly and as determine as the United States, I believe ISIS will not have a place in this world.

Nevertheless, the Egyptian President has just begun what the Western nations have been expecting from the Arab nations. This is the time for the Arab leaders to join the western nations to denounce terrorism. It's time for them to pass a message that terrorism doesn't represent Islam; because to an extend, people are beginning to wonder if this is a war against other religions, if the so called ISIS beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians in Libya.
I think the crisis of terrorism, whether it is ISIS or Al Qaeda or Boko Haram is not taken in consideration and put a stop to it, they will get to a point that will be so difficult to stop and the world will become an insecure place for the future generation. Let the Arab nations act now to put an end to this bad seeds that are germinating within the Middle East and Africa and quoting the Islamic religion as the source of motivation in their actions against humanity.

Determination as the key to success

http://www.ventures-africa.com/2015/02/how-to-get-the-best-out-of-life-by-africas-most-powerful-woman-in-fintech-who-has-cerebral-depalsy/

Reading this article has motivated me much more the ever. Every individuals is entitle to an achievement and this could only be possible by your making through hard work and  determination. As the young African woman (Farida Bedwei) declares her success as a testament of hard work and determination. Despite her physical condition, Farida was so determine not to back down from what she saw as her dream long ago before she had the opportunity to sit in a classroom. Every man or woman has this equal opportunity to dream big and regardless of any form of disability, pursue this with a lot of enthusiasm. As it is generally said, "Determination is the key to success", Farida's success story is just an affirmation to this statement.

I appreciate Ventures Africa for putting up inspirational articles like this online which will possibly reached many young people not only in Africa but will also penetrates to every parts of the world. I believe her story will impact the lives of many young people, and especially those living with disability.

Media Revolution in Washington

http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/09/politics/white-house-media/index.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rss%2Fcnn_allpolitics+%28RSS%3A+Politics%29

It is true that lots of Americans are left out with news and related from the white House or Washington in general. If only 20% of Americans aged 18-24 read daily news papers, it means 80% of Americans within this age group have other media sources from which they red news. Otherwise, they are not touch by the things happening in America and the world at large. And if Network and cable news program is a target to the aging who are already getting into their sixties, then, there's a need to revolutionize the media such that a wider range of audience could be reached.

The President of the United State is doing a great job trying to go beyond the traditional media outlet such as CNN and Fox, even though most of his interviews have been granted through these media.  To and extend, President Obama is granting interviews with newer media outlet, most of them are linked online and on social media. By this way, President Obama is able to reach out to a good number of younger Americans who will spend an enormous hours of their day online and will by some way will come across links with the latest news bulletin. According to the text with the link above, it is clear that a wider range of different age groups are now reached particularly on social media like YouTube with thousands of viewers following Washington related issues.

It is therefore agreed that future presidents should as well focus on some of these newer media outlets rather than just the traditional media to transmit information about politics, since they will be able to reached a good number of American within the different age groups.

The Worst African Cup of Nations (2015)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/02/05/ghana-soccer-riots_n_6625048.html

I think African football is becoming something else as compared to one of the highly prestigious competitions held while i was a kid. Maybe the organizers are now too old in office so much so that, instead of presenting a great deal of experience as per longevity of service, they are rather presenting a derailed functional ability to organized a 21st century soccer competition. I really wonder if this is an international competition again or one of the inter quarter soccer games they organized during summers in the city of Bamenda Cameroon, where I am coming from. The whole competition is just a sham and full of controversies.
some of which popped up during the quarter-final game last weekend between the host country Equatorial Guinea and Tunisia. The host country made it through to the semi-final after beating Tunisia by 2 goals to 1 with a controversial penalty. Corruption allegations also came up, pinpointing the organizers for match fixing. Banning a match official for 6 months isn't good enough compared to the magnitude of what he did. He deserve the end of his career as a match official.
Yesterday was another messed still involving the host country acting cowardly in contrary with the laws of the game. The home supports interrupted the semi-final game by riots couple of times. This is too bad for a competition of such magnitude.
I suggest a lot need to be done starting from the organizers right down to the level of the competition in order to gain back the prestigious nature of this competition.
